ABOUT ME (AS AN EDITOR)

Hi,

I’m Paola. I’ve been a writer for six years, and a professional editor for 3 years. My goal when I edit is always to let the author’s voice shine through, and only to make changes that I know will help my client’s work read better to an audience. The reader is a vital part in my editing process, and I like to remember this when I edit. I like to do right by my writers as much as by their readers.

I enjoy editing in all types of ranges and for all types of mediums. I’ve copyedited billboards, flyers, newsletters, college essays, cover letters, proposals, and more. I’d be delighted to work as your editor too.

About Me

I was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Words and me have a very love based relationship. I found my passion for reading at age 10, and my love for reading in English at 12. I discovered writing by 13 and began to write stories and found the delight in writing about other worlds, imagination as the only limiter. I now have fallen in love with editing and I am delighted to have made it my career.

Today, I am a writer and copy editor with an English major from the University of Florida. I currently reside in Gainesville, Florida. Here you will find all the ways I’ve put words together over the years, to create a collection of short stories, blog posts, a resume, and editing samples.
